The final result of the recruitment of assistant teachers in government primary schools of the country has been published. In this, 37 thousand 574 people have passed.
The results were published on the website of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education (www.mopme.gov.bd) and on the website of the Directorate of Primary Education (www.dpe.gov.bd) on Wednesday noon. Those who have passed, the results have also been informed by SMS on their mobile phones.
The notification for the recruitment of assistant teachers in the primary was published in 2020. According to the approved posts of the notification, teachers were supposed to be appointed in 32 thousand 577 posts, but the initiative was taken to increase it.
Primary Viva Result 2023
At a meeting of the ministry in March this year, journalists were told that 45,000 assistant teachers would be taken. The decision to increase the posts was taken as more than 10,000 posts were lying vacant due to retirement.
But before the publication of the final results at the end of the written and oral examination, doubts were created about the increase in the number of posts. Job seekers protested demanding an increase in posts. The job seekers also submitted memorandums to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and District Primary Education Office in 61 districts demanding the appointment of the highest number of vacant posts in the ongoing recruitment process and increasing the number of posts.

On November 28, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education informed that the final results will be published on December 14 after verifying the actual vacant posts. Now five thousand posts have been increased with the approved posts of the notification.

This is the largest recruitment notice in the history of government primary school teacher recruitment program so far. The online application started on October 25, 2020. 13 lakh 9 thousand 461 candidates applied.
Although the written and oral examination was taken in three stages in the recruitment, the final result has been published only once. In the first phase, 40 thousand 862 people passed the written examination, in the second phase 53 thousand 595 and in the third phase 57 thousand 368 people.
